Natalie is an Early Childhood Educator who owns and runs a small daycare centre in Dartmouth.
Natalie has always been drawn to nature and wildlife and became interested as a child in birds by spending time at the family cottage in Clam Harbour with her grandmother. She began seriously birding in 2017, taking notice of different bird species while hiking trails around Lawrencetown and the Eastern Shore with her two German Shepherds. After joining the Nova Scotia Bird Society, the NSBS Facebook group, and eBird, she began meeting and befriending other birders, and began volunteering as an admin on the Nova Scotia Bird Society Facebook group. She also participates in the Christmas Bird Count at Hartlen Point.
Natalie now spends every moment of free time birding and taking photos of birds with a close group of friends, travelling the province with the goal of observing as many different bird species as possible, and someday hopes to take a birding trip abroad.
