I grew up in Ontario and first visited Nova Scotia in 2003, when I fell in love with the province, all of its beauty, wildlife, and breathtaking landscapes. Only a few short years later, I permanently moved to Nova Scotia. When I am not working my nine-to-five with CUA , we spend most of our time exploring the outdoors— bird-watching, hiking, kayaking, swimming. We enjoy travelling the province from Yarmouth to Cape Breton with our birding family (Band of Birders: Natalie Barkhouse-Bishop, Wayne Green, Kyle, and I), always in search of the next little hidden gem this beautiful province has to offer.
In 2012 we were introduced to the NSBS which also happens to be the year that we travelled to Costa Rica and when our obsession with birdwatching evolved from simple snapshots to a part of our everyday life. Now filled with motivation and wonderment, we made it a goal to become better educated birders and contributors to the community.
