PRE-REGISTRATION WITH JAMES IS REQUIRED

• Bring your own binoculars/scopes
• For all bird outings meet in the parking lot of the Brier Island Lodge.

Birding Schedule:

• Saturday morning 7:00 – 8:30 am – Early birding.
• Saturday 9:00 am – Birding the Island Hot Spots.
• Saturday 12:30 pm– Whale and Seabird Cruise. Please make your own reservation at: http://www.novascotiawhalewatching.ca/ to book with Mariner Cruises (12:30pm departure) Those who don’t wish to take a pelagic cruise are free to bird the island on their own.
• Sunday 7:00 – 8:30 am – Early birding
• Sunday 9:00 am – More birding

James will be present on the evening or late afternoon on Friday 8th if you would like to join him. The ferry leaves Digby Neck for Long Island every hour on the half hour. The second ferry leaves Long Island for Brier Island every hour on the hour. Ferries are timed so you can drive comfortably from one to the other without missing it. However, you may want to take an extra hour to do some birding on Long Island. Please note, on the return trip, the ferry leaves Brier Island every hour at twenty minutes past the hour.
